Can I pay using my brother’s or friend’s card?

When using any electronic payment method through Waffy—including bank cards, digital wallets, Apple Pay, or any other payment method—the payment method must belong to the buyer, or the buyer must have valid authorization or a legal right to use it.

You may therefore use a payment method belonging to someone else if you have their authorization or a valid legal right to use it. Waffy may ask you to provide proof, such as an authorization document or evidence of your relationship with the payment method owner.

You must not use another person’s card or payment method without their consent or valid authorization, or use a stolen or unauthorized payment method.

Waffy reserves the right to reject, suspend, or cancel a transaction, temporarily hold the funds, or request additional documents or information if the buyer’s name does not match the payment method owner’s name, if their authorization to use the payment method cannot be verified, or if there are reasonable grounds to suspect unauthorized use.

If a transaction is canceled because the payment method does not belong to the buyer, the buyer cannot prove their legal right to use it, or unauthorized use is suspected, the transaction amount will be refunded to the original payment method after deducting Waffy’s service fee, payment and processing fees, and any non-refundable operational, banking, regulatory, or other fees or costs incurred in connection with the transaction.
